If you're in, you're in.
Lesbian Chic publishes few pieces per issue, on purpose. Being printed here should mean something — to you, and to everyone who sees your name on the contributors page.
What we want
Photography and fashion editorial. Essays with teeth. Art. Queer history research with receipts. Profiles of people building what's next. And the artistic nude work — shot with intention, produced professionally, model releases signed before anything else happens.
What we don't
Anything written for the algorithm. Trend pieces without lineage. Work you've already published online — print is the first home or it isn't here.
How to submit
Email submit@lesbianchicmagazine.com with:
— 3–5 images (photography/art, low-res is fine for review) or your full written piece
— Two sentences on who you are
— Where else your work lives, if anywhere
We respond to everything within six weeks. If we pass, it's not personal — the page count is small and the bar is high.
Payment
If your piece is chosen for the magazine, you get paid: $10 for written work, $25 for work that includes visuals (photography, art, editorial). Paid on selection. It's not a living — it's a print magazine paying artists from day one, which is more than most.
Rights & exclusivity
You keep copyright of your work, always. But published pieces are exclusive to Lesbian Chic: chosen work cannot appear in any other publication or be posted online — before or after printing. It lives in the magazine, and only in the magazine. That's the whole covenant, and it applies to us too: we will never publish your work online either. Contributors receive a numbered copy of their issue and a printed contributor card.
